Top 10 Best American Towns for Families

Family Circle rated this year’s top 10 best American towns for families based on the following criteria — home affordability, quality schools, access to health care, lots of green space, low crime rate, and financial stability.

The magazine collaborated with Onboard Informatics, a New York City research firm, to capture a list of 2,500 cities and towns with populations between 15,000 and 150,000. This first group was whittled down to 1,000 with a majority of households earning median incomes between $55,000 and $95,000. Here are the towns that made the cut, according to Family Circle.

  1. St. Charles, Illinois
  2. Peachtree City, Georgia
  3. Liberty, Missouri
  4. Fairhope, Alabama
  5. Friendswood, Texas
  6. Novi, Michigan
  7. Trumbull, Connecticut
  8. Germantown, Wisconsin
